哪吒太子慈悲囑語： Prince Nezha’s Compassionate Words of Exhortation: 很多人都認為災禍是天降的，從來不反省自己，那是錯誤，會有災禍必定有原因，要反省人的罪過不只這一世，是累劫累積來，能夠同在一個島上，會有災禍那叫作共業。在同一個家裡叫家業，所以不要抱怨，要坦然接受，而不是自怨自艾，是於事無補的。 Many people believe that disasters are sent down by Heaven, and they never reflect on themselves. That is wrong. If disasters occur, there must be causes. We must reflect that people’s transgressions are not only from this life; they have been accumulated over many lifetime. To be on the same island and encounter disasters is called collective karma. To be in the same family is called family karma. So do not complain; accept it calmly. Do not be self-pitying, for that is of no help. 平常叫你們多行功多了愿是有原因的，也是為你們好。希望你們好好做，好好行，不要臨時抱佛腳。臨時抱佛腳都來不及，不要說年輕，業力現前的時候是不分年齡的，要及時行功了愿。 Usually, when you are told to perform more merits and fulfill more vows, there is a reason, and it is for your own good. I hope you will do well and practice well, and not make a last-minute effort only when in trouble. A last-minute effort is too late. Do not say you are young; when karmic forces manifest, they do not discriminate by age. You must perform merits and fulfill vows in time. 不要說修了十年的功德夠了，即使行了一輩子還是不夠，你累劫來累積了罪過錯，有六萬年，你轉世了幾次也不知道，所以要努力的做，修道不怕苦、不怕累，才能苦盡甘來。 Do not say that ten years of cultivated merit is enough. Even if you practice for a lifetime, it is still not enough. The sins and faults you have accumulated over sixty thousand years, and you do not know how many times you have been reincarnated. Therefore, you must work hard. Those who cultivate the Tao are not afraid of hardship or exhaustion; only then can bitterness end and sweetness come. 三曹普渡，能夠修道不簡單，如果能夠捨身辦道更不簡單，捨身辦道的人是有因緣，不是每個求道的人都能夠的，要有根器。 In the universal salvation of the Three Realms, being able to cultivate the Tao is not easy. If one can renounce oneself to serve the Tao, that is even less easy. Those who renounce themselves to serve the Tao have the causes and conditions; not every person who receives the Tao can do so. It requires spiritual capacity. 得了道懂得修道，要好好把握這個機會，好好修、好好做，不要為了件小事情就起心動念而埋怨，處處都有陷阱、都有考驗。 Having received the Tao and knowing how to cultivate it, you must seize this opportunity, cultivate well, and do well. Do not give rise to thoughts and complaints over a small matter. Everywhere there are traps and tests. 心要下來，真理一定要常常悟、去聽，聖賢留下來的經典或者語錄，要常常去看，看了之後要反省自己，這樣你的心才能夠常常與仙佛在一起，更能夠體悟上天的用意。 The mind must settle down. You must constantly awaken to the truth and listen to it. The classics or recorded sayings left by sages and worthies should be read often. After reading, reflect on yourself. In this way, your mind can always be with the immortals and Buddhas, and you can better realize Heaven’s intention. 修道不離經典，心性才能更高超、更超越一層、更增長智慧，要培養自己閱讀的習慣，不要拿了書就想睡覺。多學、多悟對自己都有好處的，會得到很多利益，而且又能夠把利益分享給其他人，何樂而不為？ Cultivating the Tao cannot be separated from the classics; only then can the mind and nature become loftier, transcend another level, and increase in wisdom. Cultivate the habit of reading. Do not fall asleep as soon as you pick up a book. Learning more and awakening more benefits you; you will gain much benefit and can also share that benefit with others. Why not do it? 做一件事情必須大家同心協力，你是這國家的人，得盡一份心，每個人都能夠盡一份力量，力量才會大。 To accomplish anything, everyone must work together with one heart. You are a person of this country and must do your part. If everyone can contribute their strength, the power will be greater. 修道不只為自己，自己求了道，明白了道理，就要把道傳下去，讓人人能夠得道、能夠明理，讓每個人都夠改惡向善，那麼這個國家、這個社會才會好，從自己開始，自己若做得好才能夠影響别人，自己做不好，你拿什麼教別人，所以每一個人都要以身作則。 Cultivating the Tao is not only for yourself. Once you have received the Tao and understood the principles, you must pass the Tao on, so that everyone can receive the Tao and understand the principles, and so that everyone can turn from evil toward good. Then this country and society will be better. Start with yourself. Only if you do well can you influence others. If you do not do well yourself, what will you teach others with? Therefore, everyone must lead by example. 人生的意義要好好去思考、去悟。常常想、常常悟，你就會有所體悟，這就是人家說：「思之思之，神明告之。」常常想，仙佛就會告訴你怎麼做。 You must think carefully about the meaning of life and awaken to it. Think often and awaken often, and you will have realizations. This is what people mean by: “Think it over and over, and the spirits will tell you.” If you think often, the immortals and Buddhas will tell you what to do. 機會是給用心去做的人，這樣的人機會很多，如果太過於被動機會就會流失，修道也是一樣，學聰明一點，要眼明手快，這樣才有很多的機會，希望你是個勤勞的人。 Opportunities are given to those who act with care and dedication. Such people have many opportunities. If you are too passive, opportunities will slip away. Cultivating the Tao is the same. Be smart; be sharp-eyed and quick-handed, and then you will have many opportunities. I hope you are a diligent person.
